1. Ganga
Ganga is India's Longest river which flows through India and Bangladesh. This river is 2704 km long, which originates from Gangotri glacier of western Himalayas in the state of Uttarakhand. It flows south and east through gangetic plains and Bangladesh and at last empty out into Bay of Bengal. It is considered as a holy river.
2. Godavari
Godavari is India's second longest river after Ganga. It's source is in Trimbakeshwar in Maharashtra. It is 1465 km long that flows east through Maharashtra, telengana, Chhattisgarh, oddisha, Andhra Pradesh and at last fall into Bay of Bengal.
3. Yamuna
Yamuna is the third longest Indian river with it's total length of 1376 km. It originates from yamunotri glacier from the lower Himalayas in Uttrakhand. It merges with Ganga in Triveni Sangam prayagraj which is the site for kumbh mela.
4. Narmada
It is 4th Longest river of total length of 1312 km. It rises from Amarkantak plateau near annupur district of Madhya Pradesh. At last it drains through Gulf of Khambhat into the Arabian sea. It is also known as lifeline of Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat.
5. Krishna
It is 5th Longest river in India with it's total length of 1288 km. It originates near Mahabaleshwar, Jor village in Maharashtra. It flows west and empty out into Bay of Bengal.
It is one of the major sources of irrigation in Maharashtra, Karnataka, telengana and Andhra Pradesh.
6. Indus
India is 6th Longest river of India having length of 1114 km in India. It originates in lake of mansarovar in tibetan plateau flows through China, Pakistan and India and at last discharge into Arabian sea.

7. Brahmaputra

Mahanadi is 8th Longest river in India. Its total length is 858 km. This river originates from the place sihava, in the state of Chhattisgarh. It discharge through false point, odisha into Bay of Bengal. It is famous for hirakud dam.

Kaveri is 9th Longest river of India having its length of 800 km. It rises from talakaveri on the brahmgiri range, karnataka. It lastly falls into Bay of Bengal.
10. Tapti
Tapti is the 10th Longest river of India with it's length. It's origin is in Multai, Madhya Pradesh. It flows west and lastly drain out in Arabian sea.
