Hawa Mahal is one of the famous Monuments in India, situated in the city of jaipur, Rajasthan. Hawa Mahal literally means, "Palace of the Winds". It was built in 1799 by Rajput king Maharaja Sawai Pratap, with the help of red and pink sandstone. From that Era, Hawa Mahal is a fascinating blend of Rajput and Mughal styles of architecture.
When the palace was built a system was followed known as "Purdah", which means women were not to be viewable by the public of city. In order to that women of Royal Family be able to see city life and the celebrations of various Occasions like festivals, functions, etc, Hawa Mahal was made with having a total of 953 Windows in it. Due to this 953 window in Hawa Mahal, the palace is always full of air and in that hot climate of Rajasthan, it provide a breezy aur all the day and acts like a Air Conditioner in it. And for this reason it's name is also Hawa Mahal.
The source that inspired the creation of this Hawa Mahal is Khetri Mahal also located in State of Rajasthan in the city Jhunjhunu. Khetri Mahal is also called Wind Palace. the Structure of Hawa Mahal is similar to the Structure of Honeycomb of Beehive. Hawa Mahal is a nice place to tour. It is a World Famous place of tour and also attracts Tourism in India that benefits India in many ways.
